Car Detailing in Scotland, over the last two years in particular, has witnessed an influx of the 'one day machine polisher' who uses the terms 'Detailer' and 'Detailing' to describe the wonderful things they can do to your car - and for a silly price too. All too often we see £30k cars and beyond being butchered by ill-informed, lazy and negligent work. These cars end up full of compounding scratches that were not in the car's paint before, and end up with holograms and buffer trails all the way around the car. We urge you to be aware of this and would like to remind car enthusiasts that if you are serious about having your car de-swirled by machine polishing techniques, the process is usually about 20 hours of skilled work over two days. A one-day machine polish will more than likely leave your car in a worse condition than it was in before. Please be wary.

Washing and drying become much easier with less need for much rubbing of the paint during the drying stage - in fact, the car will mostly sheet or bead water straight off. This service is for cars that have underwent our Protection Detailing or Paint Correction service within the last two to five months. We can apply either a single or double coating to maintain the paint's protection against chemical attack. Wheels and glass are also included.
Wax/Sealant Protection Top-up
Barrier protection for your car's surfaces. Before waxes, sealants or dressings are applied, each surface undergoes either physical or chemical decontamination, or both in the case of painted surfaces. This involves the use of a clay bar and lubricant to remove solid corrosive particles from the car's paint.
Protection Detailing
In addition to everything involved in our Protection Detail, we begin the removal of swirl scratches, some scuffs, bird etchings, acid rain marks, buffer trails and holograms. Machine Polishing with abrasives is the adopted approach.
Paint Correction Detailing
Safe Washing and DryingCar Detailing always begins here. Pre-washing, followed by hand washing in a manner that always minimises the likelihood of inflicting swirl scratches into your car's paint. Only safe, suitable products are used here.
Car Paint DecontaminationUsing a suitable clay bar and lubricant, we proceed to safely remove stubborn contamination that washing alone cannot. This includes removing brake dust, other metal fallout and tar spots that can ultimately compromise you car's paint.
Pre-Wax/Pre-Sealant CleansingUsing a pre-wax or pre-sealant paint cleanser, your car's paint has any traces of bonded chemical films removed. This leaves the paint with a glazed appearance, ready for the layer of wax or sealant protection.
Wax or Sealant Paint ProtectionDepending on the characteristics you are looking for, we apply a carefully chosen world-class wax or sealant as a dedicated sacrifical layer of protection for your car's paint. Aesthetics, durability and your own personal requirements are considered.
Wheel and Glass SealantIn addition to paint protection, your car's wheels are given a coat of sealant or high-temperature paste wax as a sacrificial layer for brake dust and other contaminants. Exterior glass (except the windscreen) are also treated with a water-repellant chemical layer.
Paint CorrectionThis is the process of using a variety of grades of abrasive polishes and rotary machine polisher to remove paint imperfections like swirl scratches, buffer trails, holograms, some bird etchings and other paint marring. Our Paint Correction detail is the pinnacle restoration treatment we provide.

Porsche Boxster Paint Correction
Following on from the Boxster, this Cayman S was transformed in a similar manner. The curves on this car proved delightful to machine polish and the highly reflective and glossy proved to be a super foundation for one of our world class natural oils carnauba waxes.

Full Paint Correction was carried out here to remove the swirling that was taking the edge off the wonderful colour. The swirling on this car was inflicted by a prestigious car delaership in Edinburgh. Prestigious in name, maybe, but certainly unaware of how to look after your car.
